How to Cancel MEGA Pro

Cancellation is done entirely online through your account settings. You downgrade to MEGA's free 20 GB tier rather than losing access completely. If your files exceed 20 GB after downgrading, you won't be able to upload new content.

Cancellation Steps

Go directly to MEGA Pro cancellation page

  1. Sign in to MEGA

    Go to mega.io and log in with your email address and password.

  2. Open Account settings

    Click the hamburger menu in the top-left corner, then select "Account" or "Settings".

  3. Find the Plan section

    Scroll to the "Plan" or "Subscription" section to view your current Pro tier.

  4. Click Cancel Subscription

    Click "Cancel subscription" or "Cancel plan", then confirm the cancellation in the message that appears.

  • Cancel at least 1 - 2 days before your renewal date to avoid being charged for another year.
  • Delete or archive files exceeding 20 GB before downgrading to avoid upload restrictions.
